(John 6:40, 2 Cor. 5:17)

Our Vision

We desire On The Rock Community Church to be a church that is committed to the passionate pursuit of God’s glory, through diligent teaching, devoted discipleship, and dedication to serving our community in the name of Jesus Christ. We seek to bring new life to New London, Connecticut through the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values

The Bible – The Scriptures, which comprise the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, are God-breathed, authoritative, and sufficient, serving as the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Gospel – The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and resurrected from the dead, and whoever believes in him is forgiven of their sins, reconciled to God, and receives everlasting life. (Romans 6:23)

Worship - The whole of the Christian life flows out of the restored relationship with the One and Only God, so that worship becomes a 24/7 activity, doing all things to the glory of God. (John 4:24)

Fellowship - Faith in Jesus Christ brings each believer into a renewed fellowship with God that results in a loving commitment to God’s family in His Church. (Acts 2:42)

Evangelism – All Christians have the God-given responsibility to proclaim the truth of the gospel, so that others would come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

Discipleship - Discipleship is a wholehearted desire to learn from and be like the Master. A fully dedicated disciple eagerly hungers to know all that is possible in order to imitate the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 28:19-20)

Service - Church ministry will be both fruitful and God-glorifying when devoted members of the body of Christ are actively serving the church and are properly equipped to carry out effective Christian service.

(1 Peter 4:10-11)

Multiplication – True disciples of Christ seek to make more disciples through the proclamation of the gospel, the baptizing of new converts, and helping them to grow in their faith. (2 Timothy 2:2)
